Greer Garson received her second Oscar nomination for her moving portrayal of a Texas woman who overcomes the losses of her husband and child and founds a state orphanage. Co- starring Walter Pidgeon. Nominated for four Oscars, including Best Picture, this film won for Best Art Direction. Directed by director/producer Mervyn LeRoy.
