The Virgin Queen
Looking to explore the New World, Sir Walter Raleigh prevails upon Lord Leicester to introduce him to Queen Elizabeth I. The explorer and the aging Queen strike up an unexpected warm friendship, but complications ensue when Raleigh falls in love with a beautiful lady-in-waiting and the Queen finds out. Feeling betrayed, Elizabeth has Raleigh temporarily imprisoned in the famous Tower of London, but she soon reconsiders, granting Raleigh his ships wishing him a good journey with his new love.
