Marciano is the story of a young boy named James (Cody Morgan), who quietly yearns for a better life. He tried to comfort his loving mother Katie (Natassja Kinski) when her disturbing mood swings bring her to the edge of hysteria. He ignores the fights between his mom and her antagonistic boyfriend Curt (Jason Cairns), by slipping easily into a private world of vivid daydreams. A ray of light appears when James meets retired ex-psychiatrist Henry (Robert Forster), who is fixing up his sailboat at the local marina. The boy thrusts himself into the man's life by helping to prepare the boat for a new paint job. At home, Katie tries her best to lavish love and attention on her son, even as she slowly sinks into a deep well of self-loathing and loneliness. The fragile bubble of equilibrium finally bursts in a stunning display of violence that will forever change James' life.
