Inspired by a true story...Charlie "Mac" McClain enjoys the free-spirited lifestyle of a modern-day cowboy until tragedy strikes. Charlie's ex wife Jesse is killed, and Charlie must come down to the city to help take care of his two estranged daughters, Christine (10) and Kelly (13) who he hasn't seen in years. To make matters worse, Christine has witnessed the shooting and is severly traumatized. Charlie is awarded temporary custody for three months by Child Services and the girls reluctantly move out to his ranch.
